Cycle and execution
The strategy trades 1-hour crypto markets. It evaluates conditions once an hour and may enter shortly before a 1-hour market begins. After that market resolves, it skips the immediately adjacent 1-hour window. The next possible entry is for the following window — roughly one entry every two hours at most. A trade is placed only when the strategy's conditions are met, so actual activity can be lower.
When its entry conditions pass, the strategy submits a taker order against available liquidity. The order may fill fully, partially or not at all.
Position management and risk controls
Shorter-term conditions guide position management while the 1-hour direction remains valid. The strategy reduces or exits its position when that direction breaks or a predefined risk condition is met. Position sizing remains subject to market liquidity and your allocated balance.
What you control
- the share of your balance allocated to the strategy
- whether the strategy is connected or stopped
- reviewing the public rules before connecting
What IceBerg automates
- 1-hour structure analysis
- shorter-term confirmation
- order placement
- position sizing within the allocated balance
- shorter-term position management
- position reduction and exit
Why it suits larger allocations
A 1-hour market cycle with the adjacent window skipped means fewer, more deliberate entries, which suits deploying bigger size. This describes how the strategy operates. It is not a claim about the price or fill you will receive: execution still depends on the liquidity available in each market at the time.
Limitations and risk
Hourly filtering can react more slowly to abrupt changes. Larger allocations can increase execution and liquidity constraints. Losses remain possible.
